This indicator is extremely useful for traders in order to be able to quickly grasp the position size for a new trade to be entered on the chart Instrument of MarketScope.
The Position Risk Manager is an indicator which mirrors the dynamic risk management options of the Entry Apps to determine the correct position size according to a percentage of Account Equity, Account Balance, Discounted Account Balance or Account Margin.
The indicator is extremely helpful for traders who execute manual position entries and want to quickly get a visual indication of the position size of the chart instrument they can afford to risk together with visually understanding their StopLoss price level.
In a text box, which can be placed anywhere on the chart by means of horizontal and vertical position definition plus a 'scrolling offset', the position size is output together with the relevant user input parameters. Further, the StopLoss price level is constantly updated either on tick or bar granularity and displayed both in the text box and as a price line in the chart.
The user input menu allows to
select four different modes on how to calculate the position as a percentage of
the
- Account Balance
- Account Equity
- Account Margin
- Discounted Account Balance
The Discounted Balance uses the Account Balance minus the maximum
possible loss of all open positions of the account, whose StopLoss is set to a
possible loss. Positions, whose stop level is at break-even or beyond at a
profit level, are not accounted for.
The indicator also plots the
envisaged Stop Level onto the chart, which allows the trader to visually verify the StopLoss price level in dependency of the risk per trade.
If the indicator is applied on the ASK price series, it shows the position size and the StopLoss price level for a long position entry.
